CloudBuddy managed sites
Google Calendar availability and bookings for managed websites.
CloudBuddy connects a website owner's Google Calendar to the availability and booking tools on that owner's CloudBuddy-managed website. The connection prevents scheduling conflicts and keeps website appointments synchronized with Google Calendar.
What the CloudBuddy app does
After the website owner approves access through Google's consent screen, CloudBuddy creates one dedicated secondary calendar for appointments managed through the website. The owner can also choose existing calendars whose free or busy time should block website availability.
Creates a bookings calendar
CloudBuddy creates and manages one secondary Google calendar for appointments scheduled through the connected website.
Prevents scheduling conflicts
CloudBuddy reads free or busy windows from calendars the owner selects. It does not copy private event titles, guests, descriptions, or locations.
Confirms the calendar owner
CloudBuddy verifies that the Google account granting consent matches the calendar owner email entered in the managed site admin.
Google permissions used
CloudBuddy requests only the permissions needed for these calendar functions:
- Create and manage calendars created by the CloudBuddy app.
- Read the owner's calendar list so the owner can choose which calendars affect availability.
- Read free or busy time for the calendars the owner selects.
- Read the Google account email to confirm the connected calendar owner.
Owner control and data protection
The owner chooses the account and calendars, can decline Google consent, and can disconnect later from the managed site admin. CloudBuddy encrypts the saved connection and uses Google Calendar data only to operate the managed site's availability and booking features. CloudBuddy does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
